ANIMALS IN TAIGA
There are not a lot of species of plants or animals because of its harsh conditions but some do thrive here. Taiga has evergreen forests of coniferous and pine trees. Lynx, wolves, rabbits and bobcats live here.
The Lynx- Lynxes are medium size animals that are in the wild cat family. They have thick white and yellow fur coats that help them blend in and keep warm during the winter. They have sharp claws that help them climb trees to escape predators and catch fish during a famine. These animals have adapted to the cold taiga conditions.
The Snowshoe Hare- The snowshoe hare also called the varying hare, or snowshoe rabbit, is a species of hare found in North America. It has the name "snowshoe" because of the large size of its hind feet and the marks its tail leaves. The animal's feet prevent it from sinking into the snow when it hops and walks. Its feet also have fur on the soles to protect it from freezing temperatures. For camouflage, its fur turns white during the winter and rusty brown during the summer.
The Biosphere
Our biosphere will help keep the Taiga biosphere from declining. The artificial cooling and heating sysytems help recreate the exact conditions of the currents Taiga biome. There are waste removal systems and excess air removal holes to keep the biome clean. There are artificial habitats for the animals and they will be killed if necessary
